Planning a Bridal Lingerie Party

Planning a bridal lingerie party is a great way to have fun, and also to make sure that the bride-to-be will be well stocked with lingerie on her wedding night. It isn't difficult at all to plan a party like this, really, all it takes is a little organization and a healthy dose of creativity. You'll need invitations, the addresses of the closest friends and family members of the bride-to-be, and some stamps to send the invitations out once they are addressed. You can also use an online invitation if you want to save paper and the time that it takes to handwrite all of the envelopes. Something crucial that should not be overlooked: note the bride-to-be's size, lingerie preferences, and favorite colors and be sure to include this in the invitation. You may also opt to have the b-t-b create an online wish list that guests can purchase from.

The first thing to do is to pick a theme for your bridal lingerie party. Will your party be classy, risque, or totally X-rated and as such, not open to the bride's future mother in law? Either way, you can tailor, so to speak, the type of lingerie that you and the other guests give to match the party. Many how-to party guides will suggest that you consult with a lingerie consultant in order to ensure that you and the other guests pick the right type of lingerie, but with the advent of so many online lingerie stores, this really isn’t necessary.

When you invite the guests, be sure to send out the invitations two weeks in advance, to give people time to reply and RSVP. You should specify the theme of the party and the type of bridal lingerie to buy in the invitation as well. If there will be entertainment at your party, i.e. possibly a male stripper, you should book your entertainment at the same time that you send out the invites, and be sure to mention, or at least hint at this possibility in the invitation itself.

For food, stick with the theme, and either hire a caterer or do it yourself, with cute little appetizers and drinks that fit both the theme and your individual budget and time constraints. Do all of this, and you will have a great bridal lingerie party that the bride to be will remember forever. She'll also have the sexy lingerie, as long as you have taken the time to note her size and preferences, that she needs to start her marriage of, so to speak, on the right foot.
